When I first started workout with Derreck Baker and P.R.O it was in 2013 and I weight in at 275 and it was mostly on and off. Until 2 years later I started to my health and workout a lot more serious. I began to be more consisted with workout with Derreck/P.R.O. The first workout is always difficult but I did enjoy it and keep me
coming back for more.

The first month saw great improve in stamina and a slight weight. When I started see some weight lose I decided to change my diet and began to eat more healthier. While I was workout I never touch weight such as dumb bell, kettle bell, or touch the bar. Baker was teaching the basic movement. At first I didn’t know I understand why but when I
actually began touch weight I understand why. The 1 st reason was understand our basic movement and to perform it the right way. 2 nd for we will not injury ourselves when we are perform movement with weights. Last it made a lot and I mean a lot easier when it came time for weight. As a result I lost more than 90 pounds, yes workout got hard but Derreck motivate me to keep pushing my limits.

Over a year I decided to make a career change and began apply for police officer position around the state. I enter another fitness challenge in getting myself ready for police P.O.W.E.R. Derreck and I began to work in the gym. It was something different I was not use to it but I didn’t let that stop me. At the end it all paid off and I was able to pass my P.O.W.E.R fitness test. I will continue to be a member with P.R.O and learn more about why I am doing certain excuse because Derreck is just not a trainer but a teacher in his profession and will continue to teach his client/athlete. That a reason I enjoy workout with Derreck and P.R.O.

Beatriz Gonzalez

I joined the P.R.O Down 2 Challenge 3.0 this time because it was so important for me to try this challenge for myself. The first Challenge was for my children Stephanie and Giovanni. The Second Challenge was for my son Lorenzo. This third Challenge was for me. Most importantly, I learned that doing something for others is and feels more rewarding to me than trying to do something for myself. Also, that all these challenges were hard, it didn’t get easier.

This challenge changed me physically, emotionally, and mentally. I am extremely grateful for this experience. I was able to fit into some very nice holiday outfits too! I really enjoyed these Challenges, but I don’t think I would do another one anytime soon. Yes, I would totally recommend it to a friend.

What I love about P.R.O. Fitness and Sports Academy are the flexible schedules, the classes, the workouts, the beach workouts, the pool workouts, having access to the running track, and The Recovery Room!

P.R.O has done a lot for me since joining the De La Salle community. Taking their early morning workout classes was essential to my day for the majority of last. Derreck and Jimmy also spent time with my players once a week giving them a great workout before practice. This seems to also be the case for several other sports teams.

P.R.O can definitely continue to be an integral part of the De La Salle community as the activity center construction is finalized. They have a lot to offer the school, staff, and students.

Lorenzo Vera

I joined the Down 2 Challenge because I needed motivation to lose weight. At the time, I didn’t have any. I learned a lot of new hybrid exercises. Today, I’m going to the gym regularly and am working on a strict diet.

Yes, I would do another Challenge. Yes, I would recommend the P.R.O. Down 2 Challenge to a friend. What I Love about the Academy is the coaches, they really do a great job. For example, they pick you back up if you’re falling off.

I joined the Down 2 Challenge to really get back in shape, and to feel better about myself! I learned that losing weight and getting in shape takes a lot of time and dedication. I also  learned a lot of new workouts! The Down 2 Challenge changed me by making me more knowledgeable to new workouts! It
also changed me by making me better at time management. being a college student can be very hard and time consuming so sometimes I felt as if I was too tired or didn’t have enough time in my day to work out, but with this program I was given the option to workout at 6am so I
made myself accustom to waking up at 5am to work out when needed and it really made me feel good. Never would I have thought I would wake up that early to train, but I did and it really gave me more energy throughout the day and a reason to have no excuses not to train.

I would definitely do another challenge and would recommend the Down 2 Challenge to a friend! I love how intense the training is. It makes me really proud to go in there and get everything done no matter how hard the training might be. At the end of each training I feel great knowing that I powered through that session! Derreck is amazing as well! He really pushes you every day to be better! He is also very informative with how the workouts need to be completed and is
always making sure you’re doing everything right to prevent injuries. I also love the one on one he gives each client despite how many people might be in the class that day.

I just finished my second P.R.O. Down 2 Challenge! I joined the challenge again just for that reason… to challenge myself. I have learned to put myself and my health first and this
challenge holds me accountable to show up every day and give it all I have! Working hard has its benefits, as I just feel better every day. My weight is down, my cravings
are under control, my strength has increased, I am more flexible than before, I sleep better and therefore am not tired during the day.
Working either in a group or being the only one in class does not change the motivation and guidance that Derreck hands out. His expertise in body movement and dynamics provides me
the opportunity to achieve my best outcome. I encourage anyone interested in taking a healthy step forward to join the P.R.O. Fitness family
today. Can’t wait for the next challenge!

Stephanie Vera

I joined the P.R.O. Down 2 Challenge because I needed to start a plan to reach my fitness goals. I learned that consistency is key to achieving my goals. I’ve worked out many times before but never was consistent like I was for this challenge. This challenge changed me because I am more conscious on what I’m eating and how I’m working out.

Yes, I would do another challenge again. I feel this challenge put me in the right path. I still have a lot of work to do, and doing another challenge would definitely help me reach my goals faster. Yes, I would recommend the P.R.O. Down 2 Challenge to a friend.

I Love the entire P.R.O. Fitness and Sports Academy and programs. The different phases, that are programmed, and all the challenging exercises that they incorporate into our workouts are very effective. Overall, the atmosphere there is fun and motivating.

Giovanni Vera

I joined the P.R.O. Down 2 Challenge because I heard about it from my Mom. I thought it would be a very beneficial program because of the way my Mom was describing it. I learned that consistency is what makes a change and the will to push yourself is all that is going to help you. Some of the ways this challenge changed me, are that I can physically see abs that I’ve never seen before and mentally I am more cautious of not only my diet but how active I decide to be. Yes, I would do another challenge and Yes, I would recommend the Pro Down 2 Challenge to a friend. What I Love about P.R.O. Fitness and Sports Academy are the various workouts that I was introduced to, and all of the equipment that was provided for the workouts 🙂
